Puma is introducing the most cushioning it’s ever put in a running sneaker.
The Puma MagMax Nitro every day running shoe boasts a massive 46mm stack height with an 8mm drop for its nitrogen-infused foam midsole. The bouncy shoe is intended as an entry point for any runner as it offers maximum cushioning and propulsion. A breathable engineered mesh upper is reinforced with PwrTape, and the PumaGrip outsole is intended to grip a variety of surfaces. Extra cushioning hugs the heel, and the upper is made with at least 20 percent recycled materials.
“MagMax Nitro is our most cushioned every day running shoe yet – meaning you get more NitroFoam than we have ever put in a running shoe,” Puma vice president of Innovation Romain Girard said in a press release. “It’s a gateway for people to access running, particularly when you need an extra boost to get out the door. Whether you are just stepping out onto the road, or you need additional comfort on a well-earned recovery run, this shoe has been designed to make running feel effortless and comfortable. Adding a supermax cushion shoe to our existing range provides runners with a great new option that can be integrated into any shoe rotation.”
Men will get a white colorway with silver accents, while the women’s version comes in blue and soft green.
The Puma MagMax Nitro will release Monday, August 12 through Puma’s website and flagship stores, as well as select third-party retailers. Pricing is set at $180.
