KAKHETI, GEORGIA – Lopota Lake Resort & Spa, the 60-hectare (148 acres) family-owned resort nestled in the heart of the Kakheti region of eastern Georgia, announces the opening of a brand new, onsite aqua park and jazz club and bar. Following its recent extension of a new building with 80 premium rooms, and with a plethora of premium facilities including a spa and wellness centre, a winery, six restaurants, eight swimming pools, tennis courts, horse farm and more, Lopota Lake Resort & Spa is quickly becoming one of the most extensive resorts in the region, appealing to every type of traveller.
Nestled amongst the estate’s rich foliage lies Lopota Lake Resort & Spa’s new, state of the art ‘Green Aqua’. Combining nine different features including multiple slides, a water dump bucket and climbing frames, Green Aqua is suitable for both children and adult use, elevating the resort’s already robust experience catalogue even further. Complete with sun beds, umbrellas and a snack bar, Green Aqua is the ideal spot for a family-fun afternoon under the Kakhetian sun.
Further to Green Aqua, Lopota Lake Resort & Spa has supplemented its evening experiences with the addition of a brand new entertainment venue, the Jazz Club, set to present nightly performances by both local and international artists. Architecturally designed with music in mind, the finest materials and spatial planning ensure that professional acoustics reverb within the space, enhanced by a state-of-the-art sound system. The Jazz Club presents an inviting interior with cosy booth seating and a cocktail bar, decorated in a rich palette of dark green and maroon, and low, atmospheric lighting for a memorable evening.
Ana Maisuradze, owner of Lopota Lake Resort & Spa said, “Being situated on such a sprawling estate gives us the total freedom to create. We are passionate about hospitality and committed to providing our guests with the ultimate experience here at Lopota, whether that be related to gastronomy, wine, culture, or pure entertainment. With the addition of the new 80 rooms, Green Aqua and the Jazz Club, we look forward to welcoming many more travellers to our family-run resort, that’s bursting with adventure”.
These two exciting additions come after a recent extension of an energy-efficient two-story building boasting 80 premium rooms and a seamless design concept, intended to merge beautifully with its natural surroundings, designed by David Koiava of Georgian architectural firm Design Avenue Studio. The main objective in the creation of this structure was to achieve harmony between the architecture, landscape, and given infrastructure in the resort. Through the use of natural materials, an organic colour palette and clever use of vegetation, the reinforced concrete structure has been clad with pine and lined with plants, inviting the greenery to climb across the building’s facade and blend in with the environment over time.
