4. Mushtaq Ahmed – Pakistan, 1992

Under Imran Khan’s direction, Pakistan won their first and only ODI World Cup in 1992. Wasim Akram and Javed Miandad were key players in the triumph. Mushtaq Ahmed helped Pakistan win the title with his leg-break bowling, taking 16 wickets in nine matches, including big spells against Australia and England in the MCG final.

5. Yashpal Sharma – India, 1983

From 1978 till 1985, Yashpal Sharma was an important middle-order batsman for India. He amassed 240 runs with a strike rate of 64.00 at the 1983 World Cup, including 61 in the semi-final matchup against England and an important 89 against the West Indies, which helped India advance to and win the final.
