The police reported that the accused, identified as Mohd Haseen, was reportedly enraged by his sister's persistent desire to marry a man from a different religion. SP (Meerut Rural) Kamlesh Bahadur confirmed the incident, stating, "The crime occurred on Wednesday following a heated argument between the siblings at home. We've arrested the accused, and an FIR has been filed under IPC section 302 (murder) and other relevant sections, based on a complaint from their mother."
