AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Buc-ee's San Marcos Travel Center will soon be a reality, according to a Wednesday filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR).
The filing showed the construction project is expected to start Oct. 1, with an estimated completion date of Dec. 15, 2025.
According to TDLR, the cost is expected to be around $47.2 million for the 74,707-square-foot project, located at 3245 North Interstate 35 in San Marcos.
According to previous coverage, the new location will also include 120 gas pumps and have the capacity for more than 100 electric vehicle charging spots.
San Marcos City Council voted and approved an incentive program for the new Buc-ee's in March, which would allow for a refund of 50% of the sales tax generated over the next 15 years.
