Donald Trump is scheduled to make his first public appearance in days at an impromptu news conference from his Mar-a-Lago estate Thursday.
The former president announced the event just hours before amid questions about why he had not been seen on the campaign trail for days.
The news conference can be live-streamed here.
Apart from posts on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump has been largely absent this week while his opponent Kamala Harris and her newly-named running mate, Gov. Tim Walz (MN), have criss-crossed the country with rallies in swing states including Pennsylvania and Michigan.

Trump’s running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) has instead become the public face of the campaign, hosting press events in the states that Harris has visited.
It’s unknown what Trump intends to address Thursday.
