Former Patriot Tom Brady posted a sweet tribute to Olympians and his 11-year-old daughter, Vivian, during the pair’s “once in a lifetime” trip to Paris for the 2024 Olympics.
“I didn’t quite know what to expect going into @Paris2024, but our three days truly went above and beyond what I could ever have imagined,” Brady began his heartfelt caption of 10 photos illustrating his and Vivian’s time away.
Brady explained that while it was inspiring to see “athletes from many sports and many countries,” the part of the trip he found “especially meaningful” was “to be able to come to this incredible city with my daughter and watch the most powerful women I’ve ever seen fight for gold, silver and bronze.”
Brady continued: “For the first time in Olympic history, there was a 50:50 split of female and male athletes, a stat I was proud to tell Vivi as she watched these heroes compete.”
The first photo in the carousel is a sweet shot of the seven-time NFL champion and his daughter standing in front of the Eiffel Tower. Another photo shows the pair standing alongside American gymnast Suni Lee, who’s won three medals at this year’s games.
Also included is a video of Brady and Vivian watching the artistic diving competition. After one impressive launch, an astonished Brady exclaims, “Oh my god! That was amazing.” Vivian, sitting beside him, agreed. “So cool,” she marveled.
“Sports are truly unique all over the world with how they bring so many people together, and bring out the best in all of us, both competitors and fans,” Brady’s caption continued. “I certainly seemed to be living and dying with each of the performances, with a great appreciation for the hard work, commitment, and dedication it takes to compete at this level.”
Brady ended his post with a rallying cry to his followers. “I’ve said it a few times lately, but we should all aspire to do HARD things. Whether it’s in sports or in life, push yourself beyond your comfort zone to see what you can really accomplish,” he said. “Congratulations to the champions, the competitors, and the entire city of Paris on a once in a lifetime.”
Brady has been devotedly documenting his time in Paris over the last week, sending out photos and Instagram Stories showing such exciting events as the gold-medal tennis match between Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz.
