The World Baseball Softball Confederation formally invites you to the Baseball5 Refugee Team exhibition matches at Club France in La Villette on 10 August 2024.
The WBSC has secured visas for 10 inspirationalrefugee athletes to travel to France from Jordan, and we are delighted to offermedia the opportunity to watch the exhibition match and interview PresidentRiccardo Fraccari and the WBSC Refugee Team afterwards.

About the Baseball5 Refugee Team
The Baseball5 Refugee Team will be made upof five girls and five boys aged 13-16 from the Azraq Camp in Jordan. They willbe joined by head coach Amjed Alatoom, assistant coach Reem Hadroos and teammanager Khaled Alkhaled.
Since January 2023, the WBSC has runBaseball5 training sessions within the Azraq Camp, utilising sport as tool forsocial cohesion within the camp and local Jordanian villages.
More than 100 children now take part inregular training sessions and the WBSC has set the goal of bringing a team tothe Youth Olympic Games Dakar 2026.
We hope you see the importance of thisprojectand what it represents not only for the participants but also for theentire Azraq Camp and refugees worldwide.
