Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz used humor to shred Donald Trump — and praise Detroit — at Kamala Harris' rally Wednesday.
Walz launched into his speech in Detroit saying, "I think we can all agree our future is pretty bright." The Minnesota governor then took a moment to lift up the state with his classic Walz touch.
"Holy hell can you throw a party in Michigan," he said, to wide cheers.

When a rally-goer needed medical attention, Walz paused his rally and praised first responders.
“Thank you for caring for your neighbors. Look, we share a lot of things. That’s one of them. We’re neighbors and we’re not weird," he said, taking a shot at his GOP rivals.
Walz accused Trump and J.D. Vance of trying to "steal the joy from this country."
"But our next president brings the joy," he said, lifting up Harris. "She emanates the joy."
Walz also blasted Trump, who he noted, "sees the world a bit differently."
"He doesn't know the first thing about service because he's way too busy serving himself," Walz jabbed. "This is a big difference, again and again. He does things that weakens our country. Only to strengthen his own hand."
The Democrat then returned to humor to attack the MAGA leader.
"He mocks our laws. He sows chaos and division amongst the public. And that's to say nothing of his record as president," said Walz, as he doubled over laughing.
Walz then struck a serious tone, blasting Trump's response to the coronavirus pandemic.
"He froze during Covid. People lost their lives because of that. He drove the economy into the ground. And make no mistake, violent crime was up during Donald Trump's presidency."
Not one to stray from a joke, Walz added: "And that's not even the crimes he committed."
