SPOTIFY was hit by a mysterious outage leaving users unable to access the app on Wednesday.
The Down Detector website picked up a surge in complaints after 12.30pm BST / 4.30am PST.
Spotify is the world’s most popular music streaming app with more than 626million listeners.
246million subscribers of those are paid subscribers.
More than 2,500 reports were recorded suggesting the service is down.
But by 1pm BST / 5am PST it had dropped to around 200, suggesting the problem may now be resolved.
It’s not clear whether the issue is widespread or affecting users on certain platforms or countries.
Some users said the web version isn’t working while others say they’re having trouble with the app.
“spotify really down right now how am i supposed to start my day without music,” one fan wrote on X.
“why is spotify down i will go insane,” another wrote.
