In July, Gurgaon traffic police enforced a rigorous drive resulting in over 1.3 lakh challans for common traffic violations. The highest number of fines were for riding without helmets (31,099), followed by wrong-side driving and illegal parking. The drive, aimed at road safety, also included 60 awareness programs attended by 8,000 people. These programs emphasized the importance of adhering to traffic rules to reduce accidents. Despite increased fines, traffic infringements persist, indicating the need for continued efforts. Fines collected exceeded Rs 1.1 crore, and various resources were made available for public convenience.
