ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A local baseball team hosted a fundraiser for Tunnel to Towers, an organization that supports military veterans, first responders, and their families. Tunnel to Towers brought the 9/11: Never Forget mobile exhibit to Tuesday night's Tri-City ValleyCats game at Joe Bruno Stadium in Troy.
The exhibit serves as a tribute to all those who were killed on September 11, 2001. It is also a way to educate the public about the attacks.
"A lot of people from here went down there, worked down on the World Trade Center on 9/11," Retired Troy Fire Capt. Gary Favro said. "So we're connected to it, the local community's connected to it, and we want to get young people to understand what happened and not forget and help the people that were hurt."
A portion of Tuesday's ticket sales went to Tunnel to Towers.
