A WOMAN who is in a relationship with a man 43 years her senior has revealed that she is not with him for his money.
Imani, 34, met 77-year-old Larry via a dating app nine years ago.
She shared that she is often attracted to older men, and was intrigued by Larry’s “white hair“.
Imani said that there is never a dull moment in her relationship with Larry, as he “loves conversations”.
“There’s never a moment when I’m bored”, she told Love Don’t Judge.
Last week, Larry proposed to Imani in Paris, and she was delighted to say yes.
“I always knew I would end up with someone older, but to the extent of 43 years? No.”
Imani said that she had a lot to take into consideration before committing to Larry, such as how his health will decline when he gets older.
She added that if she and Larry ever part ways, she will only date women as “no one could compete with Larry.”
“This is gold standard, so I’d kind of be disinterested in dating a man”, she said.
Imani said that Larry is always spoiling her, and treated her to a shopping spree in Paris.
“He very rarely tells me no, he spoils me on a regular basis”, she said.
However, Larry said that Imani has “no expectations” and is always very grateful for everything he buys her.
“I think the biggest misconception about our relationship is that I’m in it for the money“, said Imani.
“This is not true, I’m in it because I love him, if I was with him just for the money I probably wouldn’t have been with him for this long.”
Imani said that most people think that she is a housewife who just spends all day cooking and cleaning.
She added that she is often accused of being a golddigger, but said that the couple brush off any negativity.
“I think the fact that we get judged has made us stronger as a couple because it has strengthened our communication” said Imani.
Larry and Imani are often stared at when they are walking down the street, due to their large age gap.
However, their friends and family are fully supportive as they see the depth of love the couple have for each other.
“Larry has changed my life for the better in a lot of ways.
“I could write a book on the ways he’s changed my life and I’ve grown into the person I always wanted to be thanks to him.”
