Melissa and Y/Project have revealed their fourth collaboration, debuting the Court Clog and presenting new colors of the Court Point Mule in a new collection releasing Aug. 5.
The Brazilian and French companies first teamed up in 2020, with their partnership becoming known for the popular Court Point Mule, an open-back kitten heel with an ornate textured pattern. Y/Project is known for blending historical references and modern designs “in playful proportion.”
The new Court Clog stays true to this; the official description of the shoe reads, “Introduced for the first time with Y/Project’s FW24 look book, and inspired by the Victorian Era, the Court Clog features intricate details that evoke a hand-sculpted aesthetic and it’s presented with a campaign shot in Paris by Arnaud Lajeunie, and videos by Luthfi Darwis.”
The 100% PVC platform clog is available in four colors: black, light blue, clear/white and a brown color with bronze-hued accents. Like its predecessor, the clog is also open-backed. The Court Point Mule is now available in light blue and pink options, both of which are transparent.
Based in Paris, Y/Project is known for creating unique footwear, ranging from boots inspired by their own jeans to thigh-high Uggs designed for men. Other striking designs by the brand include shoes inspired by tuxedoes and heels embellished with pearls.
Melissa, meanwhile, known for selling jelly sandals, is expanding its brick-and-mortar presence in the United States and continuing to engage in a myriad of collaborations. A recent partnership with Undercover included platform loafers and slides in bold hues. Look here for an extensive retrospective on Melissa’s collaborations over the years.
