Diving is a wild sport when you think about it, and we certainly do at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
You have to jump from really, really REALLY tall heights, do a bunch of flips, and like their counterparts in gymnastics, there’s a landing involved … only it’s into water. You have to try not to splash too much. Just wild.
And photographers in Paris have captured the moments before the splash, in which athletes are concentrating mid-spin, and the faces they make are amazing. We’re not laughing at them, I promise. It’s more about how they focus.
