Red Sox Wrap: Wilyer Abreu Powers Boston To Series Win Vs. Rangers
The Boston Red Sox earned a series victory against the Texas Rangers with a 7-2 win at Globe Life Field on Sunday afternoon.
Boston, which has now won eight of its last 10 rubber matches, improved to 59-51 on the campaign. Texas dropped to 53-59.

Wilyer Abreu led the way for the Red Sox offense, which has now scored six or more runs in 11 of its last 14 games. Boston scored its seven runs on 10 hits and four walks.
Boston got the best of Rangers starter Nathan Eovaldi, who allowed five runs on seven hits in five innings. And when Texas reliever Walter Pennington took over for Eovaldi in the sixth inning, Abreu belted a three-run home run to break the game open in the sixth inning.
