Iranian diplomat defends country’s position on inclusive Govt in Afghanistan
Senior Iranian diplomat Seyed Rasoul Mousavi has reiterated his emphasis on establishing a inclusive government in Afghanistan, defending it as not a coalition or participatory government, contrary to some interpretations.
Mr. Mousavi, in a note published on social media, welcomed the meeting of the Afghanistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs to discuss relations with the new government in Iran.
Recently, the Afghanistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced holding a “scientific session” to assess relations with the new Iranian government.
Jafar Mahdi, a speaker at this session, criticized Iran’s position on creating a inclusive government in Afghanistan.
Seyed Rasoul Mousavi has criticized the remarks of the Afghanistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs speaker in his writings and clarified the concept of “inclusive government,” stating it is not a participatory, coalition, or oppositional entity.
According to him, a inclusive government effectively engages all members of society and serves them. If its conditions and implementation of laws are transparent, impartial, and accountable to all citizens, such a government is inclusive and accountable.
Meanwhile, Seyed Rasoul Mousavi has consistently stressed the necessity of establishing a inclusive government in Afghanistan, while the Afghanistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs maintains that their government is inclusive.
