Normal programming has resumed

Swell’s faded as expected and is now in the chest-ish high range on sets with noticeable lulls. At 0600 it was 1.7 metres at 9.5 seconds from the E by ESE and the wind was WSW at 6-7 kts when I grabbed the snaps an hour or so later. Wind’s set to stay out of the westerly quarters until late this afternoon, while swell should plug along at about the current intensity. Weather should be partly cloudy with a high of 17. Water’s clean according to Beachwatch and 16. Tide was high at 0740 and will be back to low at 1306.
By tomorrow swell will be smaller but hopefully still surfable for another day or so. By midweek the models are showing it getting into the unsurfably tiny range.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over eastern New South Wales will be the dominant feature in the region for the remainder of the weekend, promoting light to moderate winds over coastal waters while a cold front passes to the south. By Monday the high is expected to be over the Tasman Sea while a broad trough develops over the state’s west. This trough is forecast to move to coastal areas on Tuesday, while a new high pressure system develops to the west then drifts across the coast mid-week.
