NEW YORK (PIX11) -- Put your hands up for the ‘Rise Up NYC’ summer concert series underway throughout the five boroughs.
The third annual city wide festival features 18 free outdoor concerts running from now until Aug. 25.The all-star lineup includes legendary performers like Patti LaBelle, Keith Sweat, Tito Nieves, Sean Paul, Alison Hinds and Victor Manuelle just to name a few. No tickets or reservations are needed, just be at the concert location when gates open for a chance to get in.
“‘Rise Up NYC’ is a free concert series that fosters camaraderie among New Yorkers and brings enjoyment to our beloved city,” said New York City Mayor Eric Adams during a previous announcement.
The ‘Rise Up NYC’ concert series is a partnership between the Adams Administration and City Parks Foundation SummerStage. Organizers say performances will also highlight local artists and bring support to local small businesses near the concert venues.
More artists are expected to be revealed as each concert date draws closer. Performance announcements and details on each show can be found online and on the City Parks Foundation calendar.
