BLOOMINGDALE, N.J. (PIX11) -- Bensonhurst resident Kim Mui usually plays badminton inside a community center. But on Friday she was able to do it lakeside at summer camp.
The Salvation Army helps host a special summer camp for people over 55 in Bloomingdale, New Jersey. Mui said she feels like a kid again.
Jennifer Stahler is the assistant program coordinator at the Salvation Army’s senior camp and said the idea is to give more than a hundred older people a day to get away from it all and to be in nature and with each other.
The summer camp offers hiking, badminton, karaoke and more.
