Five top production designers will reveal secrets behind their projects when they join Gold Derby’s special “Meet the Experts” Q&A event with 2024 Emmy Awards nominees. They will participate in two video discussions to premiere on Thursday, August 8, at 6:00 p.m. PT; 9:00 p.m. ET. Frasier
Synopsis: Frasier is off to a different city with new challenges to face, new relationships to forge, and an old dream or two to finally fulfill. Frasier has re-entered the building.
Bio: Glenda Rovello is a four-time Emmy winner for “Will and Grace” and “2 Broke Girls.” She was also nominated for “The Class,” “How I Met Your Father” and now “Frasier.”
The Gilded Age
Synopsis: The series follows the conflicts surrounding the new money Russell family and their old money neighbors, the van Rhijn family, in 1880s New York City high society.
Bio: Bob Shaw was an Oscar nominee for “The Irishman.” He has won three Emmy Awards for “Mad Men,” “Boardwalk Empire” and “The Gilded Age.”
Last Week Tonight with John Oliver
Synopsis: Former Daily Show host and correspondent John Oliver brings his persona to this weekly news satire program.
Bio: Eric Morrell now has his sixth Emmy nomination for “Last Week Tonight.” Other projects have included “Project Runway” and “Real Housewives of New York City.”
Only Murders in the Building
Synopsis: Three strangers – who live in the same New York City apartment building and share an obsession with true crime – suddenly find themselves embroiled in a murder.
Bio: Patrick Howe won an Emmy in 2023 for “Only Murders in the Building” and now has his second nomination. Other projects have included “Another World” and “As the World Turns.”
RuPaul’s Drag Race
Synopsis: RuPaul searches for America’s next drag superstar on one of the trailblazing reality shows of this century.
Bio: Gianna Costa won an Emmy for “RuPaul’s Drag Race” and now has a fifth career nomination. Other projects have included “America’s Next Top Model,” “The Real World” and “Charli vs. Dixie.”
