TEAM GB have claimed a THIRD gold medal of the day in the team showjumping.
Ben Maher and Harry Charles gave Scott Brash the opportunity to seal victory with the final run of the event and he did so with aplomb.
GB also avoided knocking any fences down across the entire competition.
It comes after rowers Emily Craig and Imogen Grant kicked off the medal influx by triumphing in the women’s lightweight double sculls.
Bryony Page then followed that up with another gold for GB as she clinched glory on the trampoline.
She had previously won silver in Rio and bronze in Tokyo.
The showjumping triumph makes it nine golds for Team GB after a sensational few hours in Paris.
It is also GB’s third Olympic gold in team showjumping following their triumphs in 1952 and 2012.
Speaking on the BBC Radio 5 Live, commentator Sonja McLaughlin said: “He’s done it. Olympic gold in showjumping for Great Britain.
“What a stunning round from Scott Brash and Jefferson. That horse gave these fences fresh air.
