A former prison officer at HMP Wandsworth who was filmed having sex with an inmate in a cell ‘has now found faith in God’.
Linda De Sousa Abreu, 30, faces a jail sentence after being caught having sex with inmate Linton Weirich in June as her radio crackles with messages in the background.
The married mother pleaded guilty to misconduct on Monday, and has now seemingly turned to religion to help her get through the ordeal of the trial.
Her friend Hayley told MailOnline she had ‘found faith in God’ which is providing her ‘with a lot of comfort’.
This is despite her being a married swinger and even appearing on a Channel 4 documentary where particpants have an orgy.
She also has an explicit OnlyFans account, which her friend said prisoners got hold of.
Hayley said: ‘They knew her address, her husband’s name and that she had an OnlyFans account. She was put under a lot of pressure and there was a lot of coercion involved.
‘Linda was going through a very hard time at work because of all this. And she was also having problems in her marriage.
‘She’s absolutely devastated by what happened and is full of remorse. It’s absolutely devastated her and she’s trying to rebuild her life.
‘People are trying to make out that Linda is some kind of sex monster but that’s not the case at all.’
The footage of her having sex with Weirich, a prolific burgular, went viral in June.

His cellmate records the encounter on his phone, saying: ‘This is how we roll in Wandsworth.’
At one point, someone appears to try to come into the cell, at which the man filming, can be heard saying to the person on the other side of the door ‘give me a minute, one second.’
Piles of clothes can be seen heaped over a bunk bed inside the cell.
A friend who is smoking while recording says: ‘Guys we’ve made history, this is what I’m telling you.’
The mother was arrested at Heathrow Airport, the court heard, and was due to catch a flight to Madrid having notified the prison of her travel plans.
The charge states that De Sousa Abreu ‘wilfully and without reasonable excuse or justification misconducted yourself in a way which amounted to an abuse of the public’s trust in the office holder by engaging in a sexual act with a prisoner in a prison cell’.
