Cardi B shocked fans today when she announced a third pregnancy, just one day after filing for divorce from her estranged husband Offset.
The rapper announced the exciting news on Instagram with photos of her in a beyond-stunning red gown that dips way below her baby bump plus a floor-length red furry jacket. And the opening line of her caption seems incredibly fitting: “With every ending comes a new beginning!”
“I am so grateful to have shared this season with you, you have brought me more love, more life and most of all renewed my power!” the “Bodak Yellow” singer wrote, seemingly referencing the baby. ” … You’ve reminded me that I never have to choose between life, love, and my passion!”
“It’s so much easier taking life’s twists, turns and test laying down, but you, your brother and your sister have shown me why it’s worth it to push through!” she finished.
Followers were so excited for the “WAP” singer, leaving congratulatory messages in her comments: “So happy for you and that you are standing strong.” “Sending you so much love! You’re amazing, you’re such a humble soul & I’m wishing you a healthy & amazing pregnancy❤️” “Blessings on blessings ❤️” “Yes congratulations ????”
Given all the rumors circulating over why Cardi B and Offset split last year, there will undoubtedly be speculation over who is the father of Baby No. 3. The former couple shares daughter Kulture, 6 and son Wave, 2. Ahead of the divorce filing, People reported that Cardi B was seeking primary custody of both.
Offset also has kids Jordan, 14, and Kody, 8, and Kalea Marie, 9, from previous relationships.
Earlier this month, the estranged couple took Kulture and her friends to Paris to celebrate her 6th birthday (No big deal!) as a family. Despite Cardi B reportedly filing for primary custody, it will be interesting to see what their co-parenting relationship might look like. Given her recent comments it might be more amicable than you might think.
“We do love each other,” she said, per PEOPLE. “It’s not even about love. We’re best friends. And it’s like, ‘OK. Well, there was a time that I didn’t have a best friend, or I didn’t have a support system.’ It’s not even about ‘How do you leave a partner?’ How do you stop talking to your best friend?”
