IF you want to add working in Buckingham Palace to your CV, there’s a job opening at the royal residence.
King Charles is looking for someone to join his kitchen’s staff and you don’t need any experience to apply.

While the vacancy cites a variety of tasks, the applicant will spend a significant amount of time peeling potatoes and other vegetables for the Windsors.
As well as helping the chef prepare vegetables, the porter will aid in cleaning the kitchen.
Another duty included on the job listing is washing the Monarch’s dishes.
The successful applicant will also clean the kitchen worktops, floors, and bins.
Whoever is offered the role will work five days a week, including some weekends.
It is only a two-year fixed contract starting in September.
The pay is about £20,000-a-year, as reported by What’s The Jam.
“In this role, you’ll join a committed kitchen team who prepare and serve food to the very highest standards,” the job advert reads.
“You’ll maintain the kitchen environment to ensure our chefs have all they need to deliver meals throughout the day.
“You’ll clean equipment, surface tops, floors, bins, boilers, bratt pans, and utensils ready for use.
“As well as operating a dishwashing machine and assisting when required with basic vegetable preparation.”
The advert goes on to refer to the “fast-paced environment” which they described as “challenging.”
“You’ll value being part of a professional catering team,” the advertisement said.
Glassdoor have shared some of the annual wages for staff at the royal residence.
“And working at other royal residences throughout the year, you’ll provide an excellent service every day.”
The ad went on to say that some experience is an “advantage” but “isn’t necessary.”
Buckingham Palace is also looking for someone who enjoys “working in a team” and takes “pride” in their job.
The job hopefuls will get perks including 25 days of annual leave, a generous pension plan, and 20% off in the shop.
