A mural by French artist Seth, on the wall of a privately-owned building on Strovolos avenue, opposite the town hall, has been vandalised.
The mural, which was unveiled on July 3, was the result of cooperation between the French Institute and the French embassy in Nicosia, with the purpose of promoting children’s rights and improving the image of the city.
Strovolos municipality has condemned the act of vandalism and has called for respect towards art, public places and the municipality’s efforts to promote culture and children’s rights.
The municipality said vandalism honoured no one and also placed an extra burden on its services’ workload.
