Five-star wing Caleb Wilson has announced his top 12 schools and set up two official visits.
The 6-foot-9 jumbo wing from Atlanta (GA) Holy Innocents Episcopal School now lists Arkansas, Duke, North Carolina, Alabama, UCF, Georgia Tech, Auburn, Tennessee, Kentucky, Oregon, Ohio State and USC.
“Baylor is still in the mix as well,” his father Jerry told ZAGSBLOG.
Wilson will take official visits to Alabama and Oregon, per his dad, while a meeting with BYU has also been set.
“He’s open to the best situation, and they’re just leading the pack,” Jerry said of the top 12 schools. “This new college basketball roster building is a very fluid situation, so he has to be very precise in his decision so his new home can fit his particular set of skills. With all the changes from coaches to conferences, who knows where the right place may be, we just know there is a place for him.”
Wilson helped his Nightrydas Elite team go a perfect 8-0 to capture the Peach Jam championship this month. Playing alongside Cam and Cayden Boozer, Wilson averaged 17.3 points, 7.1 rebounds, 2.8 blocks, 2.3 assists and 1.9 steals per game during the prestigious Peach Jam.
“I came into Peach knowing that in order to separate myself from the rest and help my team win I had to defend at a high level,” he said, per League Ready. “I focused on helping my teammates in help defense with my length and quickness so we could force teams to their weaknesses. I also focused on my on-ball defense, using my wide base and body contact to force people into tough shots. My coach emphasized defense and my ability to defend everyone so it became my primary focus throughout the week.”
