West Ham United are now ‘in advanced talks’ to take Crysencio Summerville from Leeds United and do not expect any issue on personal terms, according to Sky Sports News.
Leeds have already cashed in on teen talent Archie Gray this summer, having sold him to Tottenham Hotspur.
Losing Summerville, last season’s Championship Player of the Season, would be another big blow to absorb before the new league campaign kicks off.
West Ham are one of a number of clubs keen on the Dutchman and Summerville is emerging as their primary target for the wing position.
Talks with Leeds about signing Summerville are now at an advanced stage as the Hammers hope to be able to agree a fee.
If they do then they are not expecting to have any trouble agreeing personal terms with Summerville.
Moving to the London Stadium would give Summerville the chance to step up to the Premier League rather than remaining in the Championship.
If Leeds do agree to sell they are expected to want a fee similar to that which Spurs had to pay to land Gray.
It also remains to be seen how they would try to replace the Dutchman.
