TOTTENHAM continue their preparations for the new season with a huge friendly against Bayern Munich in Seoul.
In Spurs‘ opener in South Korea, they beat Team K League – an all-star team of players from the Korean top flight – in a 4-3 thriller.
Dejan Kulusevski opened the scoring on 29 minutes, followed by a stunning Son Heung-min brace to give Tottenham a 3-0 lead at half-time.
A quickfire double from Stanislav IIjutcenko made it 3-2 before Will Lankshear reinstated Spurs’ two-goal advantage just after the hour mark.
Oberdan Alionco de Lima netted on 81 minutes to set up a grandstand finish, but Ange Postecoglu‘s men held on to run out 4-3 winners.
Bayern haven’t featured in South Korea yet but began their pre-season with an eye-opening 14-1 win over FC Rottach-Egern before a 1-1 draw with FC Duren.
Harry Kane will miss out on the opportunity to face his former side in Seoul as new Bayern manager Vincent Kompany confirmed that the 31-year-old striker wasn’t part of the travelling squad to South Korea.
The forward featured heavily for England at Euro 2024 this summer and appeared to be carrying the effects of a back injury he sustained before the international tournament began.
Kane started in every game for the Three Lions, scoring three goals and he captained the side in the final against Spain.
He won’t feature against Spurs in South Korea, but Bayern travel to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium a week after (August 10) their clash in Asia for another friendly, which Kane could be available for.
