The Nicosia municipality on Wednesday announced that it will no longer accept cheques.
Payments made by residents for municipal services can now only be made by card or by cash, either online through JCC or at the municipality’s cash desk or at citizens’ service centres.
Online payments can be made at www.nicosiamunicipality.org.cy, while the cash desk is located at 13 Palias Elektrikis street in the old town.
