KELLOGG’S has scrapped a popular breakfast staple from shelves, leaving customers disappointed.
The cereal makers All Bran Golden Crunch has vanished from supermarket aisles in recent weeks.
One eagle-eyed shopper noticed the products disappearance at a number of their local stores.
They raised the issue with the company on X, formerly known as Twitter.
The post read: “Hi @kelloggshelp_uk it seems to be impossible to find All Bran Golden Crunch at the supermarkets near me. Have you ceased supply of this?”
Kellogg’s responded confirming the item was no more.
They said: “I’m sorry to disappoint you but this product is set to be discontinued.”
The popular breakfast item consisted of crunchy wheat bran and mixed cereals pieces with a caramel flavour.
It offered as a sweeter alternative to its Original All Bran, which remains in stock.
The morning meal usually sold for between two to three quid at most supermarkets, depending if it was on offer or not.
But it is not all bad news for lovers of the caramel breakfast snack.
Kellanova, the new name for the company which owns the Kellogg’s brand, has told The Sun fans can find a very similar item on shelves.
They said: “We’ve decided to retire the name All Bran Golden Crunch but not the food. This is now available under our famous Special K brand and called Special K High Fibre Crunchy Golden Clusters.
“We’ve also made a few small tweaks to the food so it still tastes great but now passes the government’s strict nutrition guidelines.
“The cereal is available in all major supermarkets,” they added.
Special K High Fibre Crunchy Golden Clusters come in a 360g packet and a 45g serving is 177 calories.
Sainsbury’s is selling the product for £3, but some supermarkets are selling the item on discount.
Online grocer Ocado is currently running an offer where you can pick up the cereal for £2.50.
Food manufactures can sometimes discontinue items if they are not selling well or if they want to introduce a new products.
M&S recently axed its popular Colin the Caterpillar in a jar from shop shelves.
The cake jars landed on the supermarket shelves in 2021 with fans hailing it “a tiny pot of joy.”
The treat consisted of layers of chocolate sponge, Belgian chocolate sauce and chocolate ganache topped with a mini white chocolate Colin face in a convenient packaging.
Elsewhere, Heinz scrapped its retro Piccalilli Pickle sauce in a blow to customers.
The crunchy and tangy sauce will no longer be available to buy, the manufacturer confirmed earlier this month.
The condiment is often used on salads or jacket potatoes, but sadly it will no longer be produced.
Nestle also axed its fan favourite Yorkie orange bars last year,.
Howevver, shoppers were able to pick up bars this year as retailers looked to clear stock.
The limited edition bars were launched in 2021 when orange chocolate was all the rage.
Around the same time Dairy Milk orange bars were also launched, following Cadbury‘s orange Twirl in 2019.
But Yorkie’s flamed-coloured version, along with Dairy Milk’s, have both now been scrapped, with loyal buyers left demanding its return.
Responding to the news on X, one fan who claimed to have bought 500 of them said: “Why on earth has it been discontinued?! It’s ten times better than Terry’s chocolate orange!”
Nestle said: “We’re sorry to say that Yorkie Orange hasn’t been available since 2023.
“This year, Yorkie fans can enjoy Yorkie Honeycomb, our current limited edition Yorkie bar that combines honeycomb flavour milk chocolate with honeycomb pieces.”
CHANGES to popular chocolate treats can hit fans hard.
Shoppers were in uproar in January after noticing Dairy Milk Marvellous Mix-ups with Oreo have been axed from shelves.
They were similarly left heartbroken to discover the Cadbury Dairy Milk 30% Less Sugar had also been scrapped, as well as Peanut Caramel Crisp Bars.
Caramac bars have been axed after more than 60 years with Nestle blaming declining sales.
And Animal Bars are also gone for good leaving fans heartbroken.
