ANDREA Spendolini-Sirieix was crowned BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year in 2020.
The superstar diver is gunning for a gold at Paris 2024.
Andrea has a famous father who can’t wait to see his daughter perform at the highest level in First Dates star Fred Sirieix.
Fred – maitre d’ of the restaurant in the Channel 4 dating show – is in Paris to cheer on Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix, 19, in the women’s synchro 10m platform.
And while there he visited her in the Olympic village to pass on words of encouragement.
Fred later told The Sun: “It is fantastic for me to see Andrea compete.
“She’s going to fight like a lion and we hope she gets a medal of course but whatever happens she will do her best and that is all you can ask.”
Andrea is competing in her second Olympics after Tokyo when she was just 16.
Andrea is representing Team GB at paris 2024.
Her first event is on Wednesday, July 31 in the women’s synchronised 10m final, where she and Lois Toulson are going for for gold.
For Andrea 2022 was a breakthrough year — she won double European gold in the 10m platform and 10m synchro.
During the same summer she also picked up two Commonwealth titles in the 10m platform and 10m mixed synchro, as well as taking home her first medal at the World Championships — a bronze in the 10m synchro.
