A 57-year-old man is being treated in intensive care on Wednesday after a collision in Larnaca.
According to the police, the collision occurred shortly before 7pm, on a rural road in the area of Maroni. In circumstances under investigation the man appears to have lost control of the car he was driving, causing it to veer off the road, hit a tree and come to a halt.
Due to the seriousness of his injuries the 57-year-old was transferred to the Nicosia general hospital’s ICU where he is undergoing treatment for a damaged liver and fractured ribs.
Officers from the Zygi police station are investigating the cause of the collision.
