You’ve watched Pommel Horse Guy pommel his way into the Olympic hall of fame. You’ve obsessed over South Korean shooter Kim Yeji and are secretly wondering if Miu Miu makes a version of those little spectacles she wears so well. And you’ve cried over Simone Biles being Simone Biles (collecting gold medals like pressed pennies in different cities), with the F.A.A.F.O crew by her side. Now, may I humbly present to you Thomas Ceccon, the Italian stallion and gold medalist set to grace your screens again on Wednesday? A fair warning that things might get a little wet, and I am not only referring to the Olympic pool.
I'm not one for being swayed by the beauty of men or women. But, then, there's Italian gold medallist swimmer Thomas Ceccon. #ParisOlympics2024 pic.twitter.com/uyPg2BcYYo

The 23-year-old athlete made a splash over the weekend when he helped secure the bronze medal for Team Italia during the men’s 4x100m freestyle relay. People reports that Ceccon “accidentally flashed his abs during the medal ceremony,” kicking the TikTok thirst machine into high gear. One user then called the entire Italian swimming team “Calvin Klein models,” while Twitter called the ab peekaboo the “sluttiest thing a man can do,” respectfully. I should note that Ceccon, of course, spends much of his time with his shirt off considering he is an Olympic swimmer, so don’t worry folks. There’s much more where that came from — specifically, on Wednesday during the men’s 200m backstroke event at the Paris La Defense Arena.

As if this man’s objective aesthetics weren’t enough, Ceccon took home his first gold medal in the men’s 100m backstroke on Monday, making him the first Italian to medal in the event. Those cardboard beds weren’t making a great case for visiting the Olympic Village, but I’m suddenly in the mood for a little field trip.
