Expertly-trained dogs from the Army's elite canine unit, including Belgian Malinois, Labradors, and German Shepherds, are being dispatched to Meppadi in Wayanad, Kerala, to assist in the aftermath of a severe landslide. These dogs, trained for several years at the Remount Veterinary Corps Centre in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, are skilled in locating human remains and detecting signs of life under debris.
