KIM Cattrall, renowned for her iconic role in Sex and the City, has signed up for an exciting new BBC project.
The legendary actress will take the lead in a 10-part BBC Radio 4 and BBC Sounds audio drama series called Central Intelligence.
Kim Cattrall is best known for her role as Samantha Jones[/caption] The Sex & the City star has taken on a new project[/caption] Johnny Flynn, known from Ripley, will also be starring[/caption]This gripping series is inspired by the true story of the formation of America’s CIA.
She is set to be joined by a star-studded cast, including Johnny Flynn from Netflix mini-series Ripley.
Kim will portray Eloise Page, an early recruit of the CIA who rises through the ranks to become one of the most powerful and influential women within the agency.
The series will give listeners a glimpse into Eloise’s thoughts on the pivotal moments that shaped the early CIA and its impact on US foreign policy for decades.
The rest of the voice cast of Central Intelligence is equally impressive, featuring four-time Oscar nominee Ed Harris (Westworld) as future CIA director Allen Dulles and aforementioned Johnny Flynn as his successor Richard Helms.
The ensemble also includes Geoffrey Arend (Physical) and Rob Benedict (Supernatural).
Kim shared her delight at being invited to star in the project, saying: “I was pleased to be asked to join BBC Radio 4’s Central Intelligence.

Alison Hindell, BBC Radio 4’s commissioning editor for Drama and Fiction, also expressed her excitement about the series.

“Audio drama is unique in the way it transports us to different places and times, and this ambitious series will give an intimate insider’s view of some of the most remarkable events of the last century.”
Central Intelligence will premiere on September 13, 2024, on Radio 4’s Limelight podcast feed.
