ECO idiots have targeted Heathrow Airport just hours after trying -and failing – to cause havoc for holidaymakers at Gatwick.
Just Stop Oil protestors this morning covered departure boards in orange paint at Heathrow, before planting themselves on the ground.
The activists also sprayed windows and floors with their orange paint in Heathrow Terminal 5’s departures area.
A pair of the eco zealots were then snapped sitting in front of the boards, before more photos showed the protestors being dragged away by security.
It comes after the group yesterday tried to halt passengers at Gatwick’s departure gates, but they merely stepped over them.
Heathrow Airport this morning told The Sun: “Working with partners we have quickly resolved a protest incident in Terminal 5 and all involved have been removed from the airport.
“The airport continues to operate as normal and passengers are travelling as planned.”
Met Police confirmed two protestors had been arrested and said officers remained at the terminal to “deal with any further offences”.
Just Stop Oil activists yesterday tried to disrupt the major airport’s southern terminal at around 8am yesterday – but pictures show holidaymakers clambering past the ill-conceived blockade.
Sussex Police yesterday said: “Police responded to a report that protesters were demonstrating near the security entrance at the South Terminal in Gatwick Airport at around 8am today.
“Eight people have been arrested on suspicion of interfering with public infrastructure, and a heightened police presence should be expected at this time.
“The airport is functioning as usual, and no disruption has been caused by protest activity.”
A London Gatwick spokesman previously said the airport is “open and operating normally”.
They added: “There are a small number of protesters at the airport who have now been arrested and are being removed from the airport.”
Meanwhile, fellow climate activists from Extinction Rebellion yesterday blocked Old Queen Street in Westminster, central London, in a protest targeting the think tank Policy Exchange office building, with pools of black liquid poured on the ground.
It comes amid a campaign by the group to target airports and disrupt the holiday industry after steering its focus away from blocking roads.
Last week saw several Just Stop Oil members arrested in multiple countries in a crackdown on their holidays plot.

“We are in full agreement that the aviation industry needs to decarbonise, but unlawful and irresponsible protest activity is not the way forward and will not be tolerated.”
The eco-zealots had billed July 23 as an “international uprising” by seven groups under the banner “Oil Kills”.
But it ground to a halt after a series of police swoops.
In the aftermath, there were demands for authorities to throw the book at them to prevent a possible summer of chaos.
Seven protesters were led away in handcuffs from Heathrow before they could make it on to a runway. Three others were arrested at other locations.
Airport chiefs said there was “no impact on operations whatsoever”.
The group, seen on bikes at the perimeter fence, were held at 9am under the Public Order Act on suspicion of conspiring to interfere with a site of key national infrastructure.
Cutting gear and glue were found.
Other arrests came in Germany, Norway, Finland, Spain, Austria and Switzerland.
The drama unfolded after Extinction Rebellion mastermind Roger Hallam and four others were earlier this month jailed for up to five years after The Sun exposed their campaign to block motorways in 2022.
It appeared to have been coordinated from the UK, with the press team behind Just Stop Oil pushing out a pre-planned release on behalf of the group.
The group named two of those arrested as Sally Davidson, a 36-year-old a hairdresser from Portland, Dorset, and Adam Beard, 55, a gardener from Stroud, Gloucestershire.
Two Just Stop Oil activists were found guilty of criminal damage last week after throwing soup over Vincent Van Gogh’s Sunflowers painting.
Phoebe Plummer and Anna Holland, both aged 22, threw a can of Heinz tomato soup over the masterpiece at the National Gallery in London in October 2022.
