Team India will take on Sri Lanka in the third and final T20I match at the Pallekele International Stadium in Kandy on Tuesday (July 30). Suryakumar Yadav’s side already have an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series after winning the first two T20I matches against the hosts over the weekend.
New captain Suryakumar Yadav and head coach Gautam Gambhir will look to start off their stint with a whitewash in the T20I series against the home side. Both teams will then shift base to Colombo, where the three-match ODI series gets underway on Friday.
Indian batters led by skipper Suryakumar Yadav have shown intent with the likes of Yashasvi Jaiswal And Hardik Pandya also chipping in with the bat. There is an injury concern with vice-captain Shubman Gill missing the last match due to a stiff neck. Sanju Samson, Gill’s replacement, failed with the bat in the second T20I and will look to make up for the failure if given another opportunity.
