Tottenham and Manchester City have been linked with a move for Crystal Palace midfielder Eberechi Eze.
The Eagles midfielder performed brilliantly last season and helped his team to finish in the top half of the Premier League table.
His fine performances for the Premier League club saw him get selected for the England squad for Euro 2024.
Some of the biggest clubs in England have been linked with a move for the 26-year-old midfielder.
However, according to information provided by Michael Bridge to GiveMeSport, the midfielder is not close to joining either Spurs or Man City.
Bridge added that it would be best for the Eagles hero to stay at Selhurst Park for another season.
He told GiveMeSport:
“There’s nothing forward in terms of [Eberechi] Eze. I know I’ve seen reports about Manchester City if Kevin de Bruyne was to leave, but Pep Guardiola has come out and said that’s not happening. I know Tottenham like Eze, but my understanding is that there is nothing close for anything in terms of him.
“He hasn’t – as it stands – come out and said he wants to move. Perhaps another season at Palace might do him some good, being the key player there, and then see where he goes with the De Bruyne’s and other key players maybe leaving top clubs.
“Son Heung-min is getting a year older, and maybe just one more season at Palace would do him some good.”
Eze has a release clause of £60million plus additional add-ons worth in the region of £8million, according to the Daily Mail.
It is only a matter of time before he gets the big move of his career as the midfielder is consistently showing a high level of performance.
He could be the ideal player for Man City if they lose De Bruyne in the near future or for Spurs if Son needs to be replaced.
Eze is known for creating chances and getting out of tricky situations with his dribbling ability.
The attacking midfielder has the versatility to play on both the flanks as well as behind the striker.
He may have to stay at Selhurst Park for one more season and continue his progress under the leadership of Oliver Glasner but it feels like his big move is just around the corner and he has shown he has the potential to shine and become an even better player.
