Suspect arrested

Police have arrested a suspect who allegedly robbed the Macy’s department store this month in Terra Linda.

Around 6:20 p.m. Saturday, a license plate-reading camera detected the vehicle, and officers located the suspect on Third Street. Police also discovered a BB gun in the car, and the suspect admitted that he carried the gun when he visited Macy’s on July 18, Graham said.

Deputies book 2
in burglary probe

Two suspects linked to a Strawberry home burglary were arrested during a traffic stop on Highway 101, the sheriff’s office reported.

Sheriff’s Sgt. Adam Schermerhorn said a resident on Milland Drive left his vehicle unlocked, enabling the suspects to use his garage door opener to enter his garage and steal more than $2,000 worth of items early Sunday morning.

Investigators used surveillance footage to identify the suspects’ vehicle. Deputies arrested them at about 11:30 p.m. Sunday on northbound Highway 101 near the Highway 131 interchange. Schermerhorn said deputies saw the stolen property in plain view after stopping the vehicle.
