According to Football Insider, Tottenham will receive a small financial boost after Girona agreed to pay a loan fee for Bryan Gil this summer.
Gil was left frustrated by the lack of game time for much of last season and the winger has not travelled with the Spurs squad for their pre-season tour to Asia as he looks to seal his exit.
The Spaniard now looks on the cusp of doing just that as he is expected to seal a temporary move to Girona.
According to various reports over the last two days, Tottenham have accepted an initial loan offer from the La Liga side after the 23-year-old agreed to extend his contract with the Lilywhites, which now contains a €15m (£12.6m) release clause (Fabrizio Romano).
This has now been backed up by Football Insider, who say that Gil will now fly out to Spain to complete his medical and put the finishing touches to his deal.
The outlet claims that Girona have agreed to pay Tottenham a loan fee of over £1m to sign the La Roja star ahead of their maiden Champions League campaign in the upcoming season.
This will be the 23-year-old’s third loan move since signing for Spurs back in 2021, with the wide-man having had spells with Valencia and Sevilla.

This is a great deal for all parties involved.
Tottenham have managed to protect Gil’s value by agreeing on a contract extension and they will be hoping that he performs well at Girona, thus convincing someone to meet his £13m release clause next summer.
