The average ticket size of personal loans disbursed by fintechs has consistently decreased over the past two years with the rise of young borrowers, according to a Reserve Bank of India (RBI) report. In the first half of fiscal 2024, the average loan size dropped to Rs 9,861 from Rs 10,955 in fiscal 2022. The report noted that 59% of the total loans were disbursed to users below thirty, despite higher delinquency rates among younger age groups.
