The Schenectady Police Department reported that it arrested a Schenectady man following a shots fired incident.
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Schenectady Police Department reported that it arrested a Schenectady man following a shots fired incident. Malachi Grier, 19, faces multiple charges.
The police say they responded to the 700 Block of Albany Street for multiple reports of shots fired when they observed a man running holding a gun. Officers placed the man, later identified as Grier, in custody after a foot pursuit.
Officers reported finding shell casings in the area and members of the Schenectady Police Detective Division and Crime Scene Unit responded to investigate and process the scene. Grier is being held at Schenectady County Jail while he waits for arraignment.
