STACEY Solomon seems to have her fingers in all the business pies at the moment.
As well as her Tesco homeware and sellout haircare line, she now even has a Primark range and beauty line in the works.
The 34-year-old mum-of-five has praised Rehab Your Hair for fixing her damaged locks that she hid under a wig for months before embracing her natural curls.
It’s not often celebs put their money where their mouth is, but after trying out the products and falling in love, Stacey invested her own money into the company and became a co-owner.
Now, they have released a new oil specifically targeted to regrow hair and create a healthy scalp.
Ever since Stacey became a part of the brand, founded by best friends Anastasia and Vicky, her army of fans have sold out any new releases, including their Matcha Hair Oil.
When the product first appeared on the site, it crashed and sold out within minutes, leaving Stacey in utter disbelief.
Taking to social media, she said: “We will get stock back as soon as we can. But honestly a massive thank you I’m so grateful to you all.
“I know you’ll love it as well.”
That being said, the hair oil isn’t cheap and will set back haircare fanatics £26 alone – or £42 if bought with the oiling comb.
Fabulous reporter, Leanne Hall, decided to put the hair growth serum to the test for two months to see if it’s really worth the hype.
Stacey had to resort to wearing wigs to hide her broken hair back in 2018, and told The Sun at the time how she forked £1,000 on her wig, ‘Suze’, to cover up her grey hair and snapped ends.
She was in her late twenties at the time, and explained the extent of which her hair was ruined: “My ends are bleached within an inch of their lives so I look like I have zebra hair that fades into yellow noodles.
“Also, I have very thick, coarse Jewish hair so washing and leaving it is not an option.”
But as her hair was getting back on track, Stacey gave birth to her youngest daughter and the postpartum hair loss kicked in.
She revealed Rehab Your Hair got her through this period and saved it, writing on social media ‘the best things I’ve ever used on my hair.’
After trying the products for herself, Stacey has invested in the company telling fans on Instagram: “A huge moment In my life.
“So… I have decided for the first time in my entire career to invest my own money into a small business and become a third of Rehab – It doesn’t feel real.”
For those wondering, my hair has always been naturally thick, which is great until there’s the slightest bit of humidity in the air and it turns into a frizz ball.
With thick hair and a full fringe, I often find myself pulling it up into a sleek, tight pony tail to keep it out of my face.
However, after years of doing this I’ve noticed some dreaded bald patches around the front of my hair line and lots of smaller hairs that have snapped because of the hairstyle – leaving me with a lions mane around my forehead.
Rehab Your Hair has it’s own oiling comb in a gorgeous jade green colour to match their matcha oil which costs £16 or £42 to buy with the oil capsules.
According to the hair experts, you use the massage tool before putting the oil in to stimulate blood circulation to encourage hair growth.
I used the tool for the first three times I applied the oil, but to be honest I found it tiresome to use.
I didn’t find it to do anything different to what my fingers could do and found my hair kept getting tangled on it.
In my opinion you really don’t need this to get results and using your hands is much easier.
The Matcha hair oil includes 30 single use biodegradable capsules and costs £26 by itself.
Rehab Your Hair states it has a blend of matcha, rosemary oil and castor oil to stimulate and strengthen the hair and should be used four hours before washing your hair to ensure it penetrates the scalp.
Rosemary oil is widely known to help stimulate new hair growth when used regularly, not only does it help growth it makes hair stronger so it’s less likely to break as well.
Castor oil is also shown to help grow hair and is a ‘carrier oil’ needed when using rosemary oil as alone rosemary oil can damage the skin so it needs to be diluted.
It also contains matcha which is derived from pounded green tea leaves and has anti-inflammatory properties to soothe irritation and prevent dandruff.
A clean and healthy scalp allows new hair roots to grow properly through the skin, while rice germ oil and squalane help keep the hair and scalp moisturised.
The hardest part about this process is opening up the capsule, while you’re meant to be able to twist the end off, I constantly found myself reaching for my eyebrow scissors to get them open.
The oil itself doesn’t have a particularly strong smell which was great as the smell of rosemary oil isn’t pleasant.
I started by applying the oil onto my main problem areas and I found the oil to be thick enough that it didn’t go everywhere but with enough slip that I could properly massage it into the hair and scalp.
One thing to note was that I did often use two capsules and not just one when oiling my hair, meaning I didn’t get as much use as others but as stated, my hair is on the thicker side.
I used the hair oil for two months, using it twice a week and leaving it for ten hours or so before washing my hair.
I found that the oil didn’t make my hair look too oily despite slathering my scalp in it and it was easy to rinse out without leaving a residue.
From the looks of the pictures, the hair oil has definitely worked and helped grow new hair in my bald batches that I’d had for years.
Not only can I tell by all the fluffy baby hairs I know have around my forehead, I can also tell by all the new growth coming in grey (due to genetics), lovely.
I think this hair oil is worth grabbing for £26 if you’re desperate to start getting new growth from your scalp, it was easy to use and actually worked for me.
But, I don’t think you need the oiling comb to go with it, yes it looks gorgeous, but it does nothing your hands can’t do.
