LOVE Island stars Joey Essex and Jessy Potts have been dumped from the villa a day before the final.
The couple were sent packing in a brutal twist tonight as their former Islanders returned to the villa to decide with a big decision to make.
After being dumped, Jessy said she wished Joey hadn’t “p***** off” so many people during his time in the villa.
In tonight’s episode, Maya revealed the results of last night’s vote.
Maya told them: “Last night, you each chose two couples who you thought were least compatible.”
She then dropped a huge bombshell and said: “Today, one final couple will be dumped from the Villa ending their Love Island journey and that decision isn’t in your hands.
“Your future on Love Island will be decided by some very familiar faces.”
With the vulnerable Islanders awaiting their fate, they received a blast from the past as their former Islanders made their way into the villa.
Led by the first dumped Islander of the series Sam and followed by Patsy, Munveer, Samantha, Omar, Harriett, Ronnie, Uma, Wil, Jess, Hugo, Grace and Reuben, they all gathered around the fire pit.
Having returned to the Villa, the ex Islanders now held the power to decide which couple they think should be dumped from the Island.
Maya informed them: “Today, you all have a very important decision to make, you must now individually decide which of these four couples you think are least compatible and you would like to dump from the Villa.
“The couple with the most votes will leave the Villa immediately.”
Patsy is first to stand and make her decision as she said: “I have picked this couple because I think out of all the couples it’s just my opinion that maybe it’s the least genuine connection and maybe the guy has got a game head on and is thinking more about the game rather than the girl.”
Joey hit back and said his feelings are “genuine” and that his feeling having changed for Jessy since she arrived.
Hugo followed suit and chose to dump Joey and Jessy – saying he could have his head turned on the outside.
As Harriett then went next and revealed: “I’ve decided to pick this couple because I feel like the boy in this couple might still have feelings for someone else and even his family member saw it too.
“So the couple I’d like to dump is Ayo and Jess.”
“I do think this person in particular has a game plan and he has since day one.”
Omar finally got his revenge on Sean and said his behaviour in Casa Amor left him doubtful over his connection with Matilda.
It comes after Sean got Omar dumped from the villa last month.
While Uma picked to dump Jess and Ayo, Ronnie chose Sean and Matilda, Sam picked Jessy and Joey.
Jess White went for Ayo and Jess S, Reuben said Joey and Jessy’s connection was not strong enough and slammed him for constantly embarrassing his partner.
Wil decided to go for Ayo and Jess.
This meant Ayo and Jess S and Jessy and Joey had four votes each.
As drama ensues around the fire pit, Samantha, who was dumped by Joey for Grace Jackson, took a dig at her ex saying: “It is a really hard decision, I haven’t met half of you because I was only here for two weeks.
Samantha continued: “I do think he has a lot of opinions on everyone else’s relationship but as soon as it comes to his own he bites the bullet a bit doesn’t he. Personally, I don’t think that this person deserves to be in the final so I’m picking Jess and Joey.
Munveer also voted for Joey and Jess and so did Grace.
Joey and Jessy received a total of seven votes and as a result were sent home – narrowly missing out on tomorrow’s final.
Jessy was left in tears as she said her goodbye, while Joey admitted it had been a tough journey.
During Monday’s episode, one lucky couple will be crowned the winners of the 11th series and take home the £50,000 cash prize.
There will now only be four couples bidding for the life-changing amount of money.
The finalists include Nicole and Ciaran, Ayo and Jess, Sean and Matilda and Mimii and Joshua.
On Fridays’ episode, sweet seller Sean Stone got a text that told stars to go off in their pairs and pick the two couples they believed wouldn’t last on the outside world.
Aside from Ciaran Davies and Nicole Samuel, who are the only official boyfriend and girlfriend in the villa, each pair received at least one vote.
This meant out of the remaining couples, either Sean and Matilda Draper, Mimii Ngulube and Josh Oyinsan, Ayo Odukoya and Jess S, and Joey Essex and Jessy Potts were at risk.
