Tottenham are slowly but surely clearing their decks and getting rid of a number of unwanted players this summer, and we could see yet another heading for the exit very soon as an interested party is set to make a big move this weekend.
The transfer saga of Emerson Royal to AC Milan has been going on for a couple of months now, but we could be nearing a conclusion very soon, as the Italian giants are preparing their next steps in arranging a deal.
That’s according to a report from TuttoSport, which describes Milan’s approach as a “decisive assault” to get their man, and it’s all set to happen this weekend.
Apparently, the Serie A side are hoping to complete the transfers of both Royal and Strahinja Pavlović, from RB Salzburg in the coming days or even hours. Milan chairman, Giorgio Furlani, and the club’s director, Geoffrey Moncada, are in contact with Royal and Spurs on a regular basis now.
A timeline of “a maximum of 10 days” is cited as when the deals could and should be wrapped up, or at least that’s what Milan are hoping. By the sounds of it, the arrangement to sign Royal is now just “one step away” from completion.
Recent reports from Sky Italia claimed Spurs had received an offer of €15m (£12.7m) for Royal from AC Milan, which is still €5m less than the Lilywhites are asking.
However, a subsequent piece from Milan News suggests the Rossoneri are ready to meet Tottenham’s demands and pay the extra fee to get the deal over the line.

This whole thing really has gone on long enough now, and AC Milan either need to pay the money we are asking for or give up and let Royal explore other options.
To spend nearly two months debating whether they want to meet the asking price is just ridiculous and I hope they get it sorted quickly.
