The New York Gremlins offense generated 28 runs in two games — two run-rule shortened games to run their record in the Gremlins Invitational at Elkland PA to 2-0. New York defeated #9 ranked Grand Prairie Pirates 16-1, and the #2 ranked Hill United Chiefs, 12-1. The Gremlins will play their final pool play game at 5pm against # 8 ranked AWP Lumberjacks.
NY Gremlins got on the board in the top of the first inning after Erick Ochoa doubled, scoring one run, Cole Evans singled, scoring one run, and Abelardo Penuelas singled, scoring two runs. NY Gremlins scored eight runs on nine hits in the top of the second inning. Mathieu Roy hit a solo home run to right field, Evans doubled, scoring two runs, Blake Hunter singled, scoring one run, Ladislao Malarczuk singled, scoring one run, Nick Mullins singled, scoring one run, and Roy singled, scoring two runs. NY Gremlins added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Ben Enoka homered to center field, Grand Prairie Pirates committed an error, Malarczuk singled, and Mullins lined out, each scoring one run. Daniel Chapman earned the win for NY Gremlins. The starting pitcher gave up two hits and one run over three innings, striking out one and walking four. Zach Pierce took the loss for Grand Prairie Pirates. They went one and two-thirds innings, allowing 12 runs on 11 hits, striking out three and walking one. NY Gremlins piled up 16 hits in the game. Roy, Ochoa, Malarczuk, Evans, Enoka, and Penuelas each collected two hits for NY Gremlins. Roy, Evans, and Penuelas each drove in three runs for NY Gremlins. NY Gremlins turned one double play in the game. NY Gremlins were sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Chapman made the most plays with four. B Arcand and Scott Nehaj each collected one hit for Grand Prairie Pirates. Patrick Burns led Grand Prairie Pirates with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, collecting four walks for the game.

Erick Ochoa hit two home runs and drove in four as NY Gremlins defeated HILL UNITED CHIEFS 12-1 on Saturday. Ochoa homered in the first and third innings.
NY Gremlins won thanks in part to 10 runs in the third inning. Ochoa homered to center field, scoring two runs, Blake Hunter homered to left field, scoring three runs, Ladislao Malarczuk doubled, scoring two runs, Nick Mullins singled, scoring one run, and Ben Enoka homered to center field, scoring two runs.

HILL UNITED CHIEFS scored one run in the top of the second on a solo home run to left field by LENNY VILLALVAZO.
Jack Besgrove earned the win for NY Gremlins. The starting pitcher allowed one hit and one run over four innings, striking out six and walking none. MICHAL HOLOBRADEK took the loss for HILL UNITED CHIEFS. The starting pitcher went two innings, giving up seven runs on six hits, striking out one and walking two.
Mathieu Roy, Ochoa, and Enoka each collected two hits for NY Gremlins. NY Gremlins didn’t commit a single error in the field. Mullins had the most chances in the field with five.
VILLALVAZO led HILL UNITED CHIEFS with one run batted in. They went 1-for-1 on the day. HILL UNITED CHIEFS were sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. SHANE BOLAND made the most plays with four.
