McDonald’s fans share hack to recreate their Toffee Sundaes with an Asda product – and people say it’s ice cream heaven

IF you are missing McDonald’s toffee sundaes, you may be able to fulfil your cravings thanks to an Asda product.

Maccies fans have been claiming that the supermarket’s caramel drizzle sauce tastes nearly identical to the one used on the fast food chain’s popular dessert.

TikTok user @lifewithshan._ uploaded a video sharing how she recreates the McDonald’s toffee sundaes using the Asda sauce.

She wrote: “For all my uk girlies, guys, gays and theys who miss the toffee sundae at McDonald’s… thank me later.”

The ice cream lover shows how she buys McDonald’s ice cream or a McFlurry and then adds the sauce, which is Nestle’s Caramel Drizzle.

The sauce is said to be perfect for “pancakes, desserts and berries.”

She wrote: “DIED and gone to ice cream heaven.”

Currently you can pick up the sauce for £2.50 from Asda and Sainsbury’s.

Hundreds of people have liked her video and seemed keen to try the hack for themselves.

The product description reads: “Delicious Carnation caramel sauce to drizzle over pancakes, desserts and berries or a scrumptious caramel ice cream sundae! 

“Or why not use for dunking churros into, for dripping down the sides of a layer cake, or drizzling across the top of a cheesecake to serve?

Previously people revealed the desserts they’ve used the caramel sauce, making them even tastier.

“Lovely with a bowl of fruit and whipped cream, I had it last night,” one wrote.

“Love it on pancakes with banana and ice cream. Also makes a nice milkshake,” another added.

As a third wrote: “Have this drizzled over apple crumble cake n ice cream yum!”

“We’ve used this for years on pancakes with strawberries, banana & squirty cream,” someone else added.

“It is such a great tasting sauce with the perfect consistency.

“Wife also used it for caramel macchiatos. We tried others, but this one is the one we prefer.”

Another said the sauce is perfect for a coffee, writing: “My daughter uses this to make cold coffees at home.”
