THERE’S nothing quite like a classic Ted Baker tote bag to elevate your outfit – and fans of the brand can now nab it for £20.
The iconic British brand is at risk of vanishing forever as administrators plan to shut all its shops within the next three weeks – however, fashionistas still have time to treat themselves to cut-price goodies.
The troubled retailer is at risk of vanishing from the high street forever[/caption] Fashionistas can now bag their iconic tote bags with huge savings[/caption] The bargain deal was spotted at a designer outlet based in Sheffield[/caption]One super fan of the brand, Rita Ball Baxter Barker, revealed that a major designer outlet was selling Ted Baker tote bags with a purse-friendly discount.
The store, Boundary Outlet, has branches across the UK, with posh gear available for good prices in Lancashire, Grantham, Newcastle, Walsall, and Sheffield.
According to the store, cash-savvy shoppers can bag fashion, beauty and homeware by some of the biggest brands with up to 60 per cent off RRP [real retail price].
As spotted by the lucky shopper Rita, the designer outlet has also slashed the price of two cult favorite Ted Baker tote bags by more than 50 per cent.
The must-have accessories, she shared in the post on Facebook, were going for an affordable £20 – which is a huge saving compared to the £50 price tag elsewhere.
Rita added in the post: ”Ted Baker bags £50 down to £20 then a further 20 percent off.”
According to the fashion lover, shoppers can pick the stylish wardrobe staple in two neutral colours – baby pink and light grey, both of which will take your outfit to the next level.
With such massive savings, it comes as no surprise that shoppers are racing to the outlet to snap up the goodies.
One member of the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group tagged their pal, writing: ”We need to take a trip here.”
Another chuckled: ”Some more to the collection.”
However, some disappointed shoppers claimed that the bags were of poor quality, with both handles snapping off.
A person warned: ”The handles are not good quality had 2 both snapped.”
A mum claimed: ”My daughter and her best mate got one for back to school last September both handles snapped off and weren’t overloaded would not fix or refund.”
The Sun revealed that staff at the troubled fashion chain have been given just three weeks’ notice that they will be losing their jobs.
Although the plans have not yet been finalised but sources confirmed this was the current intention for the business.
The iconic British brand fell into administration earlier this year after a deal went sour between its US owners, Authentic Brands, and a Dutch operating partner that was supposed to run the store operations.
When Ted Baker fell into administration in earlier this year in March, the brand employed 975 people and had 46 shops across the UK and Europe.
Since then, administrators have already shut 15 stores in the UK with the loss of a staggering 245 jobs.
Although shoppers have spotted huge clearance sales at Ted Baker sites across the nation, at the time administrators denied it was part of the administration process.
A spokesman for the administrators declined to comment.
