Man City vs AC Milan preview

It’s been a full decade since Manchester City and AC Milan last met, and it came in similar circumstances with City winning 5-1 during the International Champions Cup in Pittsburgh.

The two sides look very different nowadays, but the Premier League champions remain overwhelming favourites to clinch a win Stateside.

Pep Guardiola’s side suffered a 4-3 friendly defeat by Celtic in North Carolina, though nearly all of their regular starting XI were absent and will remain so following their exploits at the Copa America and European Championships.

Erling Haaland spearheaded the attack with Jack Grealish down the left against Celtic, and both are expected to start against AC Milan this weekend.

As for the Italians, Paulo Fonseca started his tenure as manager with a 1-1 draw against Rapid Vienna but new signing Alvaro Morata is still away celebrating Spain’s heroics.
